The Old School Revue band will play a concert as part of a Golden Age of American Rhythm and Blues event at the Weston Historical Society from 5:30 to 7 p.m. July 24 as part of the Historical Society’s Music at the Barn Outdoor Concert Series.

Westport Library will host a conversation with Westport resident Steve Parrish and Politico co-founder John Harris in the Trefz Forum at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Harris previously spent two decades with The Washington Post before going to Politico. He is considered one of the most influential people and journalists in Washington, D.C.

Parrish is the founder of the Steve Parrish Consulting Group, LLC, specializing in crisis management, corporate social responsibility, public affairs and communications for senior executives of corporations, law firms and non profit organizations.

The library is located at 20 Jesup Road in Westport.

Planning and Zoning Director Mary Young recently announced the department promoted Amanda Trianovich to serve as the new land use planner for the town.

As planner, Trianovich is responsible for a variety of tasks, including acting as the town’s coordinator for coastal area management projects, preparing analyses of pending land use applications for consideration by the Planning and Zoning Commission, and facilitating the implementation of the town’s affordable housing plan and Plan of Conservation and Development.

Trianovich graduated with honors from Salve Regina University, with her bachelor’s of science degree in information systems. She next gained her customer service skills working for Marriott where she was recognized as Associate of the Year.

She joined the Westport Planning and Zoning Department in August 2019 and was promoted to zoning official within a year, where she was responsible for processing zoning permits, variance requests and zoning complaints.

The Southport Family Dental practice is relocating to the third floor of the Southport Crossing building, at 3530 Post Road in Southport.

The practice is run by Dr. Colleen Randall and Dr. Pamela Gibson. They earned their Doctor of Dental Medicine degrees from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.

Verrill attorney Tom H. Wilkeson was recently elected as secretary of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Business Law Section for a two-year term. He is based in the firm’s Westport office.

Wilkeson will be joining Chair Ken Lerman, First Vice Chair Matt Gaul,Second Vice Chair Mark Klein, Treasurer Rob Feiner, and Legislative Liaison Danielle Edwards.

It’s part of the historical society’s Music at the Barn Outdoor Concert Series. It will move indoors if it rains.

The Walrus + Carpenter Food Truck will be on site selling barbecue. Outside food should be limited.

Historical Society members are $15 per person. Member families are $50, which includes two adults and two children.

Non-member tickets are $20 per person $60 per family.

Tina Cerrito, Adam Drake, Tom Epes, Tony Howell, Bill Loftus, Scot Parnell and Christopher Powers, all of Westport, are among 6,000 bicycle riders who will take part in the 2022 Pan-Mass Challenge fundraising event Aug. 6 and 7.

The event raises funds for cancer research and treatment at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

The bikeathon offers one- and two-day routes ranging from 25 to 210 miles that are designed to cater to all levels of ability and fundraising amounts.

There are 158 Connecticut residents participating in the fundraiser.

This year’s goal is to top 2021’s record-breaking gift and raise $66 million for cancer research and patient care.
