Alfredo Tendler, D.M.D., M.S., is passionate about changing the life of his dental patients in a comfortable and modern environment with the latest cutting-edge technology.
At the top of his class at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in Massachusetts, Dr. Tendler has more than 18 years of experience healing patients through oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Dr. Tendler studied at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. After dental school, he completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Boston University Medical center in 2004.
The same year he was Chief Resident at the Boston Medical Center Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
His current practice, the Florida Center for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, which he began in 2013 in Pembroke Pines, handles treatments from wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, complex bone grafts, facial trauma, corrective jaw surgeries and certain minimally invasive procedures for tumors. The new state-of-the-art Boca Raton office is scheduled to open fall of 2022.
Dr. Tendler works with a number of local hospitals including Delray Medical Center, a level one facial trauma center for patients involved in motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, gunshot wounds and more. “Our office treats all oral surgical needs. It’s one of the reasons that I feel sets us apart,” he says.
Another reason is his compassionate staff. “They provide high-quality attention and they treat each person that walks through the door like family. It allows me to focus on what’s important — building trust and making a difference in the lives of each person I see,” Dr. Tendler says.
That care, along with wanting to work with equipment like the newest cone beam CT scanners, digital intraoral scanners and the best bone regeneration materials, inspired Dr. Tendler to open his practice that includes himself and Dr. Jordan Shapiro. He has plans to bring on a third surgeon in the fall, he says.
“I’m excited for the growth that we’re seeing and for the smiles that I receive from these life-changing procedures,” he says. “It brightens my day every time.”
